World Book Day 2024!
Published: March 7th, 2024
Changing lives and feeding imaginations across the globe!
Today (7th March 2024) is World Book Day … a charity designated by UNESCO that’s dedicated to the celebration and promotion of reading, authors and books across more than 100 countries worldwide.
Since its inception in 1995, World Book Day has been on a mission to help change and shape young lives by encouraging children everywhere to read for pleasure… hopefully instilling within them a passion for the written word that will last their lifetimes!
Recent research has shown that reading with your child for as little as 10 minutes a day can make a significant difference to their levels of achievement.
Sadly, today’s children are much less inclined to read for pleasure than any previous generation.
Written from more than thirty years experience as a teacher, deputy head and SEND Manager, my series of Guide Books for Parents can give you the inside story on what they’re learning in class. Each book is presented in plain and simple English, with accompanying illustrations to support and broaden the national #curriculum. Helping you to connect more effectively with their learning… and work in partnership with their school to help your child achieve their personal best.
There’s a book covering at each Key Stage – from 1 to 3 – as well as Early Years and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
