Back to school!
Published: September 5th, 2024
This week is the start of #AcademicYear20242025
However committed they are to their #learning, children always find the first week back at #school after the long summer holidays a bit of a chore; new classrooms, new forms, for some new subjects and, obviously for others, the jump from Early Years into Primary, or from Primary into Secondary. These are challenging transitions for any child to make, particularly if they also have a special #education need #sen and/or disability. Moreover, they can be a stressful and confusing time for parents… and that’s where my latest series of guide books can help.
Written from over 30 years experience as a #teacher, #headteacher, deputy head and SEND manager, my Parental Guide Books can help your child hit the ground running this term… and help you collaborate more effectively with their school. After all, parental support is key to your child achieving their maximum potential.
Each book covers practically every aspect of what your child should be learning in class – from Early Years to Key Stage 3. From high quality early #reading and #numeracy, to more advanced #writing and #mathematical skills, helping them prepare for further education, or the world of work.
My Guide for Parents of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, sets out… in plain English, everything you need to know to help ensure your child achieves more.
