Frustration

Whoever said that writing and publishing books is easy. I’ve just finished reading the third proof copy of my printed book that I have converted from an ebook. Support for Children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities: a parents’ guide is now as good as I can make it. The text is tightened up and I think it is set out on the page rather well. It has had three individual proofs from Lulu – but the line spacing errors are now dealt with. Once the cover is finished, it’s away. I am immensely proud of what I have written and hope that this book does its job of enabling more parents to become involved in their child’s education. The ebook version of this and others in my series ‘Parents Help Your Child Succeed’ are on my website.

My website is coming along well, with four more books available directly from me: Independence for All, Literacy Through the Secondary Curriculum and Modern Foreign Languages.

Is it now time to relax? Actually, no. The next ebook (Early Years Foundation Stage : for parents) is waiting in the wings to be converted – so it’s onward and upward. There is no rest for writers.
